Good Morning All!
Some top performances by not only horses, but jockeys and trainers. Most notably 'The Twiston Davies' camp. A magnificent treble (197/1) and the tear jerking performance of Hello Bud, who I stated in my opinion to have ran well at Cheltenham last time, but surely his age will stop him. I was wrong. Just missing out with Join Together who plugged on in the last 100 yards just to be defied by a cracking ride by Sam Twiston Davies. At Sandown, we witnessed a masterpiece, and In my eyes, a Frankel of the jumps! Sprinter Sacre took my breathe away on how he just put the race to bed and as before yesterday, he traded at Evens for the Queen Mother Champion Chase, now he is as short as 1/2! It just shows you, he is a machine!
Today we have the John Durkan Memorial Chase to look forward to with Flemenstar and Sir Des Champs locking horns in a mouth watering clash. I'm siding with Flemenstar as his jumping is better and I believe Sir Des Champs is still learning as I was at Punchestown last April and thought he needed to learn a trick or two. Either way, I dont care who wins, as they are both great horses and who knows, maybe this years Gold Cup winner! Off to Cheltenham now.....not racing, christmas shopping! Recording the racing and watching it when I get back, so better make sure I dont hear anything
Looking at the races previewed in the Hennessy and Bechers, value and age has come against me, as Bobs Worth was mentioned well and my old friend Mr Dow Jones won at 15, so you can never go by the age I guess! Im 21 soon, Im opposed every time :) Be Lucky :)
